Who Is Dr. Julie?

Dr.  Julie Adams, DVM was obsessed with dogs from the time she could walk. Virtually every job she’s ever had involved working with animals. This led her to a career in veterinary medicine when she graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veteirnary Medicine in May, 2000.

While she started practicing in North Carolina after graduation, she soon moved to Colorado where she’s lived now for over 20 years.  She currently lives in the south Denver area with her husband, Mark, and their two dogs.

She’s owned many, many dogs in her life so far. Rottweiler are one of her favorite breeds and she believes them to be misrepresented in today’s world.

Her goal with this blog is to provide some practical and common sense advice for owners (or prospective owners) of Rottweilers. There’s a great deal of misinformation on the internet about how to care for this breed, but this site can serve as a trusted resource (even if I post the pic below with a dog who isn’t a Rottweiler).
