Last Updated on February 9, 2022 by

Rottweilers are large canines who weigh between 50 and 80 kilograms. To know how much a six month old Rottweiler weighs, an individual should measure the length of their body from the ground to their shoulder blades. From there he or she should multiply by two to get the weight in pounds, then divide that number by one hundred for accurately knowing what percentage of his or her final adult size they have reached.

Male rottweilers usually weigh between 30 and 45 kilograms. The weight of a six month old rottweiler will typically be around 15-20 kilograms.

How do I know if my Rottweiler is underweight?

A: If your Rottweiler is underweight, it may be difficult for him to maintain his body temperature. He may also have a hard time eating and digesting food properly. Your vet can help you determine the best weight for your dog.
